happy 6 months today hannah

Hannah...today marks a very special day...your 1/2 birthday.  likely the only 1/2 birthday we will celebrate.  we will do so because we are so proud of your remarkable progress and determination. 

for starters, your uncle Paul (who built your amazing crib) came to see you with his 2 chocolate labs Sammie & Eddie (after Van Halen of course). 

on Friday night we had about 20 friends over for a salmon smoke...it was about 20 degrees outside, so we had the outdoor heater cranked up for the guys, and all of the ladies stayed inside with you and stayed warm by the fire. 

Saturday i took you shopping with our friend Kiira, then we went to the Denlers house to play with Abby and Greta.  the fun didn't stop there, we went to pick up Grandma (yes, i know, shes back...two weeks had passed already), went to dinner with the Ceyssens family then home again 10 hours later.  meanwhile, your dad and uncle Paul took Evy (your dog) and Eddie wild pheasant hunting in Eastern Colorado, they brought home 6....

today is your actual 1/2 birthday.  uncle Paul and your dad are cleaning the birds (something i don't care to see...they are in the garage) to get ready for the smoker.  We going to meet your Uncle Mickey and Aunt Brady (nominated aunt and uncle) for Sunday brunch at the infamous El Rancho in Evergreen.  then we will come back home, watch the Broncos game (they are not very good this season) and then head to grandmas house for dinner. 

on the menu:  smoked pheasant appetizer, pork chops and scalloped potatoes...and likely a yummy desert. 

wow!  what a weekend.

lastly, we have decided to start a new blog for you starting tomorrow.  we feel it is time to change your focus to "health and happiness".  check it out, we will post the address later.

right now, we have to get ready for breakfast...and get those boys moving...we will be running on "Schmitz time"...typical 20 minutes late...mom is trying to change this.
