wow...3 months have passed already

Hannah has had a memorable first 3 months of existence on this place we call earth.  during the past 3 months i have learned that the things we understand are "typical" and not "normal".

i have learned a great deal from those around me and this is one of the most memorable of them all.  my sister-in-law, Kish and her husband Paul, have been thru many similar trials in life and have offered some wonderful advice to both john and i.  one of which is learning to refer to other kids as "typical kids". .  they are those without as many struggles (at least, as early in life) as our sweet baby Hannah...there are so many people tend to say "normal kids"...but when you think of it...what is "normal" anyway?

i have made it a point to use the word typical instead of normal...try it, it actually feels really good to really think about what the difference is.

don't get me wrong, i have gained much more knowledge than that over the past 3 months...i could almost get my doctorate...however, i wont go there yet, i am going to stick to design.  in fact, i am headed out now for a happy hour with everyone from work...including our CEO...in town from San Francisco.  i have to let them all know (some of you are reading this now) that i DO want to come back to work.  I look forward to some mentally challenging work...not just coordinating Hannah's medication and medical schedules and changing diapers.

for the past 3 months since i abruptly left work unplanned, i have had my brain on sweet baby Hannah 150% of the time.  now, i will go back to work part time so that i can easy my way back into things.  it is what makes the most sense for me, for john, for Hannah and for my colleagues at work.

tonight i will cheers to Hannah...happy 3 months Sweet baby Hannah!
